What % do you keep your LED's? How far off the water?
I keep mine at 30% about 2-3 inches since it is in a 14g biocube.

I have a radion pro over a 38 nuvo. I run at 50% max about 12" above the water. Do you have any optics on it?

Mine are both at 100% about 8 inches above the water line. No bleaching at all and everything is happy and growing!

WOW! Have you taken a par reading? I had mine ramping to 80% at first but SPS were not happy at all. What type of coral are you keeping under it?

I haven't done a par reading yet. All I have is sps and one leptostrea lps. Everything is doing great with excellent colors.
check out my album, I took those pictures about a week ago.

9- Royal Blue Luxeon ES 3 watt LEDs and 5- 5,000K Neutral White Luxeon ES 3 watt LEDs(Steves LED's Build). No optics(I do have 90 degree optics not used). No need since it is a small tank and lights are inside the hood. If I put the optics they would be more direct toward the center of tank so I left them out.

Before my current setup, I ran 4 cool white cree, 1 Fiji blue cree, 4 royal blue cree, 1 neutral white cree, 2 cyan exotics, 2 deep red exotics, 2 415nm violet exotic, 2 405nm violet exotic, at 100% no ramp up or ramp down, just timers to have them going on in stages, over an 8 gallon tank. The lights were 8" above water line with 90 degree optics. The tank was sps only. Any zoas or mushrooms I tried would melt.
if you have good color and growth I'd leave it alone.

Yes at mid day then the white drops off to 0 by 6 pm and blues drop gradually until 8:30. My tank also has a 1/4" glass top so that will make a big difference.

I have a dsa neo105 with two radions. I upgraded them both to the gen3 pucks and should get them back this week. I was running them at 50% before the upgrade and will probably keep them at the same intensity.

One word of caution from those running at 100%, LED's do drop off. The same testing company that gives them 50K hours also has them dropping an average of 3% per year. The good part of leds is being able to control them and running them at 80% or less so you can adjust them up to maintain the same PAR levels from year to year is nice. I normally ask questions when the PAR meter comes back in and most members seem to be happy with some lowering the PAR levels with there new full spectrum LED Fixtures that are on the market today.

if you read the specs some companies under drive their units to help life. I know for sure vertex does this, and a few others but can't find the literature on them

Right now I have my maxspect on the factory tank bracket which is about 8" above the water level. I am going to suspend the light for a cleaner look and will probably raise it about 4 more inches to lower the par at my sand bed.
