Hello, so today I started the transformation from my 90gal up to my 180gal. Thank goodness for the cart because I do not think my and my wife would of been able to do this. I will be posting pics here of the transformation from one to the other.

I wanted to say thank you to Alton for letting me use the Maast cart. My friends were supposed to come over and help but something came up. So it was just me and my wife trying to move this huge aquarium inside. Which I can tell you we could not of done it. The Maast cart made moving it in super easy.

I also included the picture of then canopy wide open so you can see the lighting but it is covered by a door on hinges.

Looks good but why not place the power strip on top of the canopy? Or under the stand? I would be worried about salt creep on top of the brace...

Does salt creep on top of the brace? I have not though about that. Now it does have a huge center brace that was put over the one that is already there for added support. No lie it is 3 feet wide. I. Thought it would be a safe place for them being that the wires will not make it down there unless they get extentions. Let me know what you think.

From the pic, it looks like the wires are even blocking the light in the center..

And yes i get salt creep on top of my brace, not much but it builds up...

23871 I had to get up on a ladder since the stand is 40" tall lol but this is an above ground view. They really are not in the way of the lights. And you can see that the center brace is huuuuuge. Let me know what you guys think. I appriciate your input especially since I am leaving on Friday to go down to Tampa Florida.

I snapped this off today. It is my torch loving his new flow in the tank and he is finally opening up. Right here he is stretching out 8 inches. Now I am off to Tampa Fl for a week. I'm actually passing through mobile al right now lol. Maybe I will stop by the live rock place there and see what they have there.

I would mount the power strips higher up, maybe on top of that 2x4 the lights are mounted on.. Those 2 strips have to be blocking light, might not be that visible but it has to be blocking some.. Plus a good splash of any kind and your lights could be toast..

Would look cleaner too...

Ok will do as soon as I get back from Florida. I'm going to build them a platform.
