Like the title says, I am new to this forum but not to reefkeeping. I moved back to San Antonio in October of last year after being stationed in Northern Illinois. When I moved, I had to break down my reef and sell all livestock and coral because I knew it would be a while before I could set up again. Now that I am back in San Antonio, I am building a house and will be able to finally launch my tank again in a few months, thank God! This wait is killing me!

While I have been waiting, I have basically been rebuilding and redoing everything that I can to make the system perfect. Everything that is new is highlighted in red:

I replaced the stock stand with a custom built stand and canopy that is 36" tall and about 51" wide and 30" deep. This allows me alot of room to work in my stand, and it is not so cramped. Because of this size, I was able to custom make a 55 gallon tank into a half refugium/ half sump. There is also enough room inside the stand to put a 10 gallon in front of the 55 gallon that I will use as a ATO tank. I had a custom canopy made, which houses my new pair of AI Hydras. I also have a pair of Jeabao W4P 40 wavemakers, a PAR38 light that will be lighting the refugium. I have a pair of Finnex titanium 300w heaters, a Turbo Twist 18w UV Sterilizer, a Super Reef Octopus 3000 skimmer, a BRS Dual Reactor, a Triple Dosing pump, a Bio Pellet Reactor, a Reef Octopus Kalk Stirrer run by a single dosing pump, and a mag drive 18 pump to run the return. All this is powered by a Reef Keeper Elite with SL1, SL2, Net, and 3 PC4's. I also got 160 pounds of base rock from Reefcleaners.org recently. I have all new test kits, and all media, and materials to last me at least a year hopefully.

Before I setup, I would still like to buy a neck cleaner for my skimmer just to make things easier. Enjoy the pics.

Well, This go around Im going to pick my corals very carefully. I really want to get a wide variety of zoa colonies, and Acan colonies. From there I want to get some nice picese of LPS on my sand, and graduate up to a RBTA. I do want to also have a nice variety of SPS throughout my tank. As far as fish, just the standard pretty community fish.

I love LED's! I sold my Orphek PR 156 UVW+B fixture and got two AI Hydras, I love the look and growth from LED's!
