I have a Reef octopus ddnw250 dual 10" recirculating proteins skimmer that I used for my 220 gallon tank worked great but now I am down size to a 40 gallon with a 50 or 60 gallon sump. Now my question is would it be way too much of an over kill to use my skimmer? And why? I really don't want to sale it or get rid of it. But I need some input. Thanks
