So you will have 4 48" t5 bulbs.

I would think they will overtake the fluval and you wont even notice that its on. At only 46 watts, I dont think it would benefit your tank much..

I would looking into a diy led strip.... You could do all actinic and some violets... Then with your 4 t5 run some good quality day light bulbs...

You could always go with a 48" Blue Reefbrite Tech LED, I think they run $250 or so.

I've got some being held for me at Coral Cove, the have some white and blue less with 1st watts per box, $120 I'm getting 2, with sand and rock I bet I've only got about 100 gal that's 3 watts a gallon, if I use my T5's as well that's 5 wpg. I should be able to grow anything with that

What brand are the $120 LEDs? Try not to get caught up in the watts per gallon as much. You should be more worried with what corals you have/plan on keeping in the future.

I would do some reading up on the LED fixture you potentially could be buying from CC...maybe even youtube the exact combo you would be running to get some sort of idea of what the tank could look like.

350gt is right, be careful that the LED doesn't get washed out by the T5s!
