We talked a lot about ways to find different ideas to complete a rock scape. I'm a proponent of using mortar to set up natural dry rock so we will be covering that aspect.

I'm always available for talks. Just hit me up. I'm no specialist in the matter, but I enjoy it.
I thought about trying to see if we could do a Saturday since so many seem to have issues with Sundays. Unfortunately I am teaching on Saturday the 8th so Sunday is the best day for me.

Doing my rockscape now, this is harder than I thought. Rock doesn't always break up the way you want it.

I learned a lot last year when you guys did this. I used marco mortar and have on two builds now. Both turned out great. I'm gonna try and make it to the meeting. How about a free frag raffle too? I have a couple of small SPS frags I can donate.

What do you mean a comparison? Of the mortar or of rock. The mortar as far as I know is all the same and each company repackages it and charges a crap load more. The difference comes in when you look at rock. I've seen great differences in BRS vs Marco.

It's the exact same mortar. It's called eMaco R400. It's not usually available in small amounts. In fact, I'm having quite the problem sourcing any for the meeting.

Also, Ben is correct that the Marco kits are just broke down emaco r400. It is hard to find, but you can buy a 50lb bag for a little bit more than the small kits at Marco.
