So I came up with a great idea as to how to mount my monti caps onto the back wall of my aquarium so not to take up any space on the rock work. I super glued acrylic squares to the back glass and mounted the montis onto it. Well the glue held for a little over a month and last week two feel off. I really want this to work so Im needing help on suggestions on what I can use that will hold the acrylic squares to the back glass for good.

Small single plug frag rack or a water side magnet. Glue frag to that and place the coral where you want it, place the dry side mag and you're done.
If you have to move it later, no problemo until the point where the coral grows onto the wall. Over time you can't see the mounting hardware.
Problem. I've not been in a whole lot scuba situations, but when I
Have gone scuba or snorkeling I've never seen coral floating in the middle of the water column.

Super glue the frag itself to the back glass or overflow

Thanks for the input Allan but not interested in the single frag rack or more magnets. Also I'm not worried about it looking like I'm scuba diving. I like the way it looks so that's why I did it.

I thought about this but the way the monti's are growing they would be flat against the glass and not plating out like yours. I know they will end up plating out but I rather try to make this work out if I can.

I think the problem your going to have is how big your frags are. Looks like they are pulling the squares off from weight. Might Want to try smaller frags and let them grow and attach to the glass. Second option is look at a product called Aqua-Mags. Might give you some ideas for mounting.

I have the aqua mags already with corals on them. You can see them in the photo as well. Im not sure its the weight since the one on the left is the largest and its still glued to the glass. The middle one is the smallest and its one of the ones that fell off. Maybe i pressed it to hard against the glass causing the glue to spread to thin. If I cant get this to work then Ill be ordering 3 more of the aqua mag jrs.

Ya I love them and they work great. I had a problem with 2 of them cracking after a year in the tank but when I emailed the company they sent me 2 replacements and told me that the rocks sometimes get hair line cracks during shippment and end up falling apart. I was happy that they replaced them after so long.

That's great service. I normally forgo even contacting companies after I've had a product that long.
