Buying used apex system

I need opinions on buying a used Apex system. I'll save maybe $150 for a 6 month old system or do I just go with a new one for peace of mind? How long are the warranties on these components? Any thought on this is greatly appreciated.

The actual controller I would not be worried about buying used. You mind have to replace the probes so I would just figure that in.

Thanks for your input, I'm big on warranties specially on electronics so I may have to err in the caution of buying a new one.

I'd call apex to see of warranties transfer to a second owner

Also depends on who your buying from.....

Some neglect their equipment... It just takes a few minutes to clean certain things, and some dont have the time or the care to do it...

Warranties normally are for original owner and they don't transfer but it doesn't hurt to ask or see if original owner doesnt mind to do it for you if something happens.
