250 mh for a 40b

How high should I hang the 250 to get good coverage on a 40 b and what could I supplement for additional color.

I'd start with 12 inches and adjust to your liking but that's me and we did that with out LEDs

I have mine 8" above the tank

I like a lil bit of a blue look so the corals pop a lil more. I'd want to add a purple led strip if anyone makes one.
