Getting ready to setup a 40b and looking for opions on hob overflows vs drilled overflows.

depends on the glass . . . some folks drill 40b . . . I wouldnt . . . just saying
Even if you drill the hole good, it could still crack later just my thoughts
nothing wrong with a hob, just make sure you setup for no leaks

I have never trusted hob, as far as drilling a 40b ive actually drilled several without one cracking. I love the glass-holes kits!!!

+1 the glass holes kit is nice.
I also recommend drilled, but if you do to with a HOB, make sure it's a good one like life reef.

I'd go with a higher end overflow, eshopps is good but leaves a lot to be desired.

decided to go with a internal overflow
