I had an unfortunate accident and spilled water on the back of an AI vega I own, well it appears that it cooked the motherboard, the light still functions but is uncontrollable. Mind you the light is out of warranty and AI asked if I'd like to ship them the light, the'll replace the motherboard for $56 and ship it back to me or I can just choose to have them send the motherboard and I do the work myself. I must say these fixtures may be a high price upfront but the support and reliability thus far along with support is well worth that money spent. I can also get new fans for $15 a fan, I'll be sticking with these guys for my lightning needs.

Dude they sent me a whole new unit, when one of mine wasnt working right..... No CC on file or anything, idk what would of happened if i would of kept both units but i thought that was cool of them...

Well worth the price.....

I cant believe some ppl are having bad luck with these units, my tank is the happiest its ever been....

Oh and make sure you all dust off the fans periodically... During a water change i heard one unit buzzing, i noticed that the fan wasnt moving as fast as the others...

I pulled out a can of compressed air, sprayed it down, and it was full of dust.... Fan was then working fine and buzzing gone.

Its just one of those little things we forget to do.. But could be costly if left alone...

I just got three new hydras and the director. It's a bit of a learning curve but really like them so far...granted only a few days old now.
