Is the Tunze 6215 wave box over kill for a 65 gallon? It states it's rated for 52 and above. Also a quick note. I have a MP40 too. Will this over due it? Thanks for your help.

I would think the new smaller Tunze wave maker would be perfect for a 65. I used a 6215 on my 300 and it created a nice wave on the highest setting. The Tunze has three settings so you can crank it down for smaller tanks. And I am not sure how you could time it with your MP40? I would of thought the MP40 would of been enough?

It won't be over kill because it's controllable . I have used em on my 55gln in past because I didn't wanted to spend money on a smaller one since I had this from my previous breakdown . U can always crank it down and get a decent wave however if u can afford a small one or get couple small tunze power head that will be a better route to go with . Large wave box on this smaller tank won't be an eye pleasing also as it will take a lot of room

I have the new nano Tunze wave box on my home 65 and love it! Makes a perfect wave and all the corals really seem to enjoy it.

It is the 6208. Is your 65 an aqueon with an overflow? If so it fits perfect between the overflow and the aquarium wall. The other thing I like is it has two magnets where the old nano only had one. Much better.

Nice tank! The nano will look good in there. It isn't too big in my opinion.
