im trying to get some of my lps corals back to their healthy state and encourage growth. is there anything else i can do or add to the tank to help other than fuel.

There are a lot of other factors and consequently other items you may need to supplement your tank to keep coral healthy and growing, but fuel is certainly not a required one, nor is it a primary one IMO. I use fuel occasionally, but since I have no way to test for most of its ingredients I don't add it often or rely on it for anything.

Is fuel the only thing you are dosing?

What do your nitrates and phosphates look like? I would not use fuel if either of those are high. Even then, I would lightly feed your LPS if they're extending their tentacles. This generally happens at night. You'll also want to make sure they're getting enough light and make sure your parameters (like alk and temp) aren't fluctuating too much.

With an Alkalinity test kit.
