Here in about a month or two I am going to start buying all the stuff for an arduino reef controller. Most of it being based on this:

But I also want to add a few things such as nitrate monitor and a calcium monitor. I know it is possible since there are pinpoint monitors for those, however I cant seem to find any DIY builds on it. Does any one have any recommendations or links to any of these.

Thanks

It's going to be hard to find those. It's hard enough to find schematics, stamps, or breakouts for pH meters much less for nitrate and calcium. I'm not saying it's impossible, just unlikely available. I see they sell the probes, so that is good but the circuit and formula will be the kicker. If you want to at least get started with pH and salinity you can check out atlas scientific's stuff. I've seen one pH breakout on RC but I never got around to building it.

ya, I seen the the materials and the code for ph, they all say ph is relatively simple, but salinity can be a real pain. Was just hoping that someone knew of where someone DIYed calcium and nitrates.

You could always buy the pin point meters and tear them apart to see what their circuit looks like and which IC they are using. :D

lol, I dont think I am that hard core into electronics to do that, maybe with a used one with the right price. Other wise if I bought it, I probable just use it as is :)
