Does anyone have a melanurus wrasse that stays out past 1 oclock in the afternoon?? Mine won't. I see him for about 30 min in the morning and in the sand before we get home.

sounds like he's stressed, if you just got it give it time, or another fish or fishes are picking on it

No one picks on him. Just not sure he is completely happy not sure why though. Been in tank for at least a 2 months

Is there a food source that they might need that they are not getting during feeding. Mix pellet flake and frozen. Mix it up daily between the three two feedings. He is never awake for the second.

wrasses act weird from time to time, or could be sick.

Bad news today. Wife got home today to a rather well preserved Melanurus on the floor. Good thing that the dogs were in their kennels otherwise we would have been searching for days for that fish.

That's no good. Sorry to hear. Screen tops are a must with wrasses.
