So a plug of rainbow monti looks like the top was shaved and a frag if Hollywood stunner has a stark white spot on it. These both happened over night. The only live stock in the tank are a few hermits and a 6 line. Will those fish nip sps and lps?

The stark white spot on the top left portion of the frag was an eye yesterday.

You can see how it looks shaved down the middle on top.

Dean, I have never seen or heard of a six line wrasse eating coral. However, it will eat pests like flatworms or bristle worms. I wonder if the six line is eeing something on your coral that is micro and not easily seen, but food to it?

Terry thanks for the reply! Every couple of weeks there are tons of tiny white pods on the glass. So they could be on the coral as well. They may be it.

When a coral bleached does it fade out or happen over night? This happened very fast and not to the entire piece of either one just an eye of the chalice and the top of the monti. I moved both pieces to the sand bed just in case though.
