If you are wondering why it is cold and raining with a chance of snow I changed from T5HO to a 6' Build my LED fixture on my 125. I guess we shall see? I am running it at about 85%? It has a 75% setting and I have it set up above that mark. Of course I had to add a 200 watt heater to maintain 75 degrees

Not sure it was DIY. Build My LED is a brand where you can custom tailor their fixtures to your wants/needs.
Looking good Alton.

That's awesome. You should see what the PAR is but I don't see any SPS so I'm sure you'll be fine. A lot of people bleach SPS when they first get LEDs because they crank them up too high. Let us know how these work out. I really like their stuff and that they're in Austin.

I needed a clean look fixture for my office that I did not have to hang. The PAR Level is not as high as I hoped (100 - 12" down through glass tops) but for $400 lighting up a 6' tank to start I am fine with it. After some more teaching funds come in I will add a second. Good thing, bad thing the fixture came in through Elegant Reef and Louis first plugged it in it lasted for about 20 seconds. Louis called them and they had a ballast at his shop the next day. But that wasn't the problem. Three days later I had a new fixture. So definitely great service.

Why such a weak # at the sandbed? Glass cover maybe?
Maybe the meter is not reading the leds correctly, like ppl claim?
Are they 3 watt leds?

Build my LED said that one fixture would be considered for viewing, two for corals, and three for high light corals. Looking at my RKL the Light is only drawing .5 amps or 60 watts. if I turn it up to max, it draws .8 amps or 96 watts. Which just lead me to believe I am not at 85%, I am at 62%. Lets crank it up to .7 amps
