(not my tank)

I saw an ad for this product in a fish mag and thought it was a great idea to have food that grazers could graze on throughout the day like they do naturally in the wild.

Although the idea is ingenious, my tangs just aren't that enthusiastic about it. At first, the fish will come up to it and peck on it for about a minute then leave. Then they might go back a few more times and that's it. They don't seem particularly interested in the taste of it. At the end of the day, they may have eaten 15% of the grazing disc before it falls apart and becomes cleanup crew food.

I don't think I will pick this product up again until the formula is changed.

My disc is gone within an hour of putting it into the tank. I've enjoyed this product. I'd say it's something that maybe your fish just need to get used to but, if they are already familiar with it, they may not care for it.

I'd also give them a day or so from regular feeding to get them good and hungry before trying it.

Same as Ben and Allan said.

If you feed other items to your fish they expect that. I mix up what I feed in a regular basis. Also, because of my schedule my fish never know when they get to pull up to the dinner table. If I put a grazer ring in they tear it up.

I don't feed on a set schedule but I do feed a couple times a day and I'll usually pull a feeding for the ring.
