UPDATE: The 250 is at a stall we are actively looking for a home to purchase and we still need to find a return pump or pumps. We haven't decided to go with one or two, but the tank has been filled and had a reef octopus water mover thingy in it so the water don't go stagnant

everything in the 90 is gonna be transferred to it and some i have a few tangs in mind i wanna add to the 3 i have already and the 90 will be a preadtor tank for hubby. Once we find a house to buy we will set it up to cycle and start adding stuff from there once the cycle is completed

Looking great Tiphannie, for my return I like using two Pan World pumps (50PXX & 40PX) and turning one off at night, sure gets quiet.

Thanks Alton I think we may do to pumps also as back up just in case if having just one pump were to fail and no one be home to see about my prized tangs cause even tho that hippo is a pain I would never get rid of her to much attachment to her for nursing her for so long but she is as good as new and gets into more stuff than my 3 yo LOL! But she over came the abuse she endured before I got her

Yea you will appriciate it. I built mine 40" off the ground. There is no way I want to try to work under the 24" stand that came with the tank.


180gal + 30gal sump with an awesome wave.

Yea I can sit in it and lay down haha plenty of space for my short self we added 6inches all around and will close it in with sheets of plywood and find some moldings to cover the black plastic that's around the top and bottom of the tank

Seeing the trim reminds me of a really stupid thing I did. We were remodeling the master about a year ago. Jan was in Russia with her Mom. I was finishing up the trim. She'd bought that same trim that you have on the verticals, to go around our mirror. I went to stain and varnish them, and there were 3 pieces. Only problem was one didn't match the other 2 - it had a different pattern. I'd already stained 2 of them. Carp. Time for a trip to Home Depot. Changed out of "work clothes", grabbed a wallet and keys and went to HD. Went to the trim section, grabbed a piece that matched the other 2. Got all of the way to the checkout stand when I realized what I'd done... If I had simply turned the one we had over... I took pictures of it and shared it on FB, it was so funny. I'm such a moron.

We are gonna transfer the 90 to the 250 and we ordered some full spectrum aquaman LEDs (they had great reviews from people who keep sps to mixed reefs and softies) we got them on amazon
