Hey everyone,
I am looking to get some AEFW.. I just saw a post on R2R where a reefer is conducting experiments to learn more about them. Unfortunately, he is a non scientist and it looks to me like his work is misguided. It did get me thinking however, that I would like to do some testing of my own in an effort to find better solutions to this nasty pest. I know its taboo to have them so PM me if you have some rather then posting in this thread. I am looking for people with acro colonies that they are willing to have die. I will be happy to give them back if I am able to cure them but there is a good chance I will toast them. My father is a veterinarian and we are both biologists. I am going to test various medications for AEFW sensitivity. I obviously am looking for the magic bullet. Hit me up if u got some!

I would hope that he's research an in tank treatment.

The bayer and a steady set of eyes works great for frags and out of tank. Like Allan said though, I'm hoping he's trying an in tank treatment. Having these colonize in an established reef is catastrophic.

Hey guys I just want to absolutely clarify something. I will NOT be infecting my tank with AEFW. I realized today that my post may give some of you pause at purchasing corals from the Zephyr tank. I will be conducting the experiments in isolated 10 gal tanks. I still have yet to get my hands on any AEFW but am in contact with Dr. Rawlinson who is the lead researcher on AEFW. I will likely be collaborating in the study that is posted on R2R. This study is the first of its kind and we are closer to answers then we have ever been. Imagine the possibility of getting AEFW and having it not be a big deal.
