Current tank is starting to bow in the center on top and the wife put 3 scratches in the front glass. So im looking for a new tank with the same 48in foot print as my 90. An thoughts or suggestions are and will be appreciated.

My question would be, why is it bowing? Does it have a center brace? Has that come loose?

Does your 40 long(48Lx12W) have a center brace? Most of the tanks I have seen that have a 48inch length blue print or bigger have a center brace. I have seen some tanks bow when people cut the center brace off. Only thing they are good for when this happens is a terrarium. If your tank is starting to bow I would replace asap so you don't come home to a wet floor.

He has a 90 gallon..

Theres no real appreciable difference between a 33 long and a 40 long.

I got a 90 and the person I got it from took out the center brace and its starting to bow so I'm going to either get a 33 long or a 40 long until we have our house built and by that point we are looking at getting a 125 or a 170 reef ready.

you can save your 90. Call Forever Pets on basse rd and ask them to put in a glass center brace for you.

Eh i dont want to spend anymore money on the tank it self it has 3 big scratches on the front glass and id rather spend money to get a new tank than repair the one i got.
