During a MAAST meeting in the past, we had a class and made one out of PVC and a 2 liter bottle. You might post in the wanted section and see if anyone has one they don't want. I think there was a $5 fee for materials for the workshop. I know we have used ours in the past and it worked fine.

Was that for in tank hatching or externally?

this one, I think, hatches them in the tank and passively releases them once hatched

Sorry didn't look at the link. This was external. That one sounds interesting, just wondering how you would phyto them while growing and keep clean. Maybe someone else has experience.

I looked for this awhile back locally to give it a shot, but the LFS that I asked said they no longer carry it.

They swim out as they get old enough and then the rest of the tank gets a little snack.
