How do I know when my tank is ready for a nem. I'd like a bta or a rbta. Also what do you feed them so they dont eat the fish in your tank.

a very stable tank is a great start, ive never fed my btas and they all have done great. good lighting is key to great health. feeding them just adds more poop to the tank, they will snag any food floating by your fish do not eat amy way

I waited until my aquarium has been up for 7 months using nothing but rodi water and with appropriate lighting. Back at my old house I bought a gtba just after It was running for 2 months with very crappy conditions like tap water and week t5s. He didn't make it lol. And I agree with big pun on how to feed them. When I feed my fish they will grab a peice or two but other then that they get all of there nutrient intake from my lights.
