Acrylic Media Basket:

I was bored and decided to make a media basket for my Innovative Marine 16 gallon better than what came with it. I know they just came out with a high quality media basket, but for a few bucks I made my own and it does the exact same thing. Not that great, but it works! The blue acrylic makes a nice touch as well, and this one fits nice and snug...The other ones moved around too much.

That's awesome. It's cool when you build stuff AND it works. The blue looks sweet.

Very cool. I bought one from InTank. It's solid and nice but it wasn't cheap. Making my own would have been nice if I was able to cut in a straight line. :)

The dimensions where just a hair more than the regular media basket for a snug fit. I cant cut a straight line no matter how hard I try. I'll probably need to use my dads band saw versus a dremel. Either way I got results. And I like the blue as well. Figured I would try another color besides just clear. Their are tons of different colors to choose from, but I'm just a fan of blue.
