Well today will start my first real tank 105 rimless. Purchased from aquarist that is experienced had system up for about 3-4 months and decided to backoff hobby. Includes maxspect razor x2, vortech mp40, sump with refug, cal and carbon reactor, ato, reefkeeper controler, oak stand, and 100lbs of rock. I have never plumed a tank before so all of this is going to be challenging. Plan on setting up and filling with water and let it sit for a couple of weeks to see if it is going to cycle before putting any live stock or coral in it. Meanwhile I will put the lights on my 55g and let the corals start to acclimate to the new lights. Super excited will keep posting and uploading pics as I go through this, as always I encourage knowledge from the well experienced people in this forum. I am looking forward to the Frag Fest. Gonna sign up as a member and pick up some sweet corals.:)

I used the bean animal design for this. Straight down into the sump. I will be moving the sump into the fish room behind the DT soon though.

DAY2: have do idea how to replum this thing and rewire everything. Got carpet cut, tank leveled all of the rock and sand in water (cooler and buckets). Set my lights up on my old tank to get the corals started to acc. Friend was over last night and saw that a couple of my fish have ick. :Timeout: So this is going to take a while. Once i get water in the new tank and sump I am going to put all of the rock and sand from the old tank in to the new tank and let the ick cycle break. Going to drop the salinity of the old tank with the fish and wait out the ick. Any suggestion on treating the icked up fish? I am guessing about 2 months before fish go into the new tank.22381

during the move someone loosened one of the bulk heads. How do I get the seal back?

What do you mean? Tighten the bulkhead.

The guy I bought the tank from said that I would have clean and reseal. I assumed that just the gasket would be enough to seal the bulk head. Am I right in my thought?

Yes. Wouldn't hurt to get a new gasket, in fact I'd recommend it.

Nice! I look all the room on the sand bed. You'll have all sorts of space for clams, lps, mushrooms, acans, etc.

Here is the finally rock layout. Going to start transferring coral and some fish tonight. The ones with out ich. Going to let the others relax in the 55g while everything settles with the ich. I really appreciate all of the help that I have received. You guys really hold true to the mantra on the homepage Thanks again

Hear ya. This on really hasn't done anything like dropping babies but now that it has done this who know what's next. Need to get a plug and put him on that before it attaches itself to the wall
