does anyone out there have any experience or thoughts on a DC skimmer?http://www.marinedepot.com/Reef_Octopus_Diablo_DC_Water_Pump_DC_10500_2000_Ga llons_Per_Hour_Higher_External_Aquarium_Pumps-Reef_Octopus-CV52043-FIWPEPOH-vi.html I like the thought of DC since its more energy efficient but not sure of the performance in comparison to AC pumps. So any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

I have an RLSS skimmer that's waiting to be set up and uses the same pump. I also have a waveline DC pump that I haven't used yet. I have read some reviews of people having problems lately so that may be something to look into.

I have seen someone using that skimmer and it works amazing. Plus it ramps up slowly after it turns on and off so that it doesn't overflow after a power outage on one of the models. Really cool!!!
