I have a new midas blenny, its eating great and very lively. one question. is it normal for the mouth to be open all the time?

Both of mine do it from time to time. I have a tail spot and a king midas in my 120.

Yeah i got one, he sleeps and lays around on the seaweed clip or magnet cleaner in my tank, pretty cool fish to watch
