Mine is low, went to mix up some more magnesium chloride/sulfate from BRS, but somehow it got humidity in the containers b/c it hardened up. I am going to order more, but I need to raise my mag, so I was curious what locally available supplements everyone is using.

Bump! I'm interested too. I started dosing two part B-Ionic a few months ago and my Mg drifted to 1260. So I figured I'd do a few extra water changes to bring it up. Out of curiosity I checked the freshly mixed Oceanic and it was 1245 with Salifert or 1300 with Red Sea. That's no way to bring it to my target 1310 - 1350 range. BTW, what level do you shoot for?

Question: Can you adjust Magnesium level all at once then maintain, or should it be done gradually?

That's what I normally use. I picked up some Aqua Vitro Ions for now to see how it works.

Don't raise your mag more than 100ppm/day. Ions actually tells you not to do it more than 50ppm/day, maybe because of the other additives it has, boron and strontium.

I normally try to keep mine around 1300-1400ppm.
