I wasn't too happy after a par check on my 120. Right now the 2 Vegas do great on the ends of the tank, but the middle section is being left out. So I just ordered a new hydra to fill in the gap. Any thoughts? Overkill? I used to run 2x250 de halides and 440w of actinics so I think the sps can handle it.

What par meter?

you have heard that the apogee are inaccurate with leds right?....

I am running 3 on my 60" tank.... Think john only has 2 on his 48"

I run 2 on my 36'' tank it's plenty for at least a 4' tank. I'd imagine you'd bee fine with the third unit, but you may have to lower all three ever so slightly to prevent bleaching.

Yeah, even when adding 20-30% the numbers weren't good. But the proof is in the pudding. The middle section of the tank looks starved for light. The colors don't look the way the did under halides. Plus I don't like aquascaping according to my light spread. That's the one thing I really miss about halides.

I was thinking the same thing. Turn the Vegas down by 20% and run the hydra at 60%.
