I already had great results with the plain looking Red Leg crabs from Mexico (not the pretty Scarletts) a few years back but I got some more last week to clean up a somewhat neglected tank and WOW. They are amazing. The red legs never disappoint. And they live for years. I absolutely love what they did with the tank. Snails? I have those too but compared to the red legs they hardly put a tend in it. The red legs don't just nibble on the hair algea -they clean it down to the tiniest rock crevice. I am just posting my red leg review again in case anybody is going through the icky phase after cycling a new tank or cleaning up a neglected older tank: Red Legs from Mexico are IT!
