I have these tubes, didnt think much of them until my daughter pointed out that they are casting out webs. So far i have spotted about 5 large ones. You can see parts of the web on one pic. As i was taking a picture my cleaner shrimp ran through it. He thinks he is a star. Every time i go to take a pic he runs front and center for the shot.

Im trying to make sure before im to far along that i get out any unwanteds before i start building my tank up.

I should have added in my first thread. New to saltwater and this is in my by recently setup biocube 29. Still in the process of setting it up. Soon as i finish the stand i will be setting up the sump. Was planning on waiting, but my first biocube arrived shattered by fedex and when i went to pick this one up he threw in a bunch of live rock and sand out of his other tanks, so i was kind of stuck starting it before i was totally setup.

TIA

+1 they're harmless but can be irritating to some corals and can multiply quickly in the right conditions. Some wrasses have been known to eat them.
