How did you set it to "30%"? Did your controller come with the speed settings? s1, s2, s3?

I was curious because we've spent the last ~6 months trying to determine the best way to slow these things down since they are so powerful. I personally run mine off a ReefAngel and threw their controller to the side. Some people use variable voltage power supplies, and some have even put rheostats between the controller and power supply. I ended up with two 25s to get my desired flow. Moved one of the 40s to the FOWLR where it won't bother corals.
IIRC, the speed modes only work in the wave modes, and possibly only in W1. I have two of the new controllers, but I have yet to use them.

Run it how? You need a custom cable to jumper into the VA line. I think the RK has wave maker profiles already. Do they offer a Tunze cable?
