I have a fluval edge 6 gallon tank, I'm wanting to make it a reefs system, but I don't know what lighting to put on the tank.
It had the led lighting but they got corroded an stopped working.
I want something that will grow the corals as well as make the colors POP! I have LEDs on my 15 and the SPS corals always bleach :(

Is this a wanted to buy or a suggestion question? I can move it for you if it's a WTB.

It's a question, because I don't know what kind of light I want to put on the tank. Lol

Wavepoint fixtures would work nice on that tank. AI nano's another good option, also there are several good Par30's and par38's out there. There's a lot you can do with that tank.

I have maxspect nano 420R 60w 10K on mine. They are a beast, have a timer built in, etc. You can set them to manual, an auto program or a custom program. I really have enjoyed these thus far. Will report back in a couple months on how corals are doing with them.

I like those fixtures, if you know exactly what color temps you like. I find myself playing with my settings alot, still trying to find the sweet spot, so I go anywhere from 10K-20k each week trying to find something I like.

Those things are really awesome though, you can't go wrong with those either.

The max spect is programmable? So I can change the color spectrom?

Its my understanding that its plus or minus 4k or something like that

It looks like a nice system but idk paying $300 when I can get t5ho for like 100$ and have good growth and color, but I like the neon colors under led blue light

I personally don't like t5s, but they are good. Led is more of an investment with a high initial cost and a return in the future. The are several good 50 to 100 par 38 bulbs that will be more then plenty for your tank.

I saw your post on NR, are you sure it's the light making your corals bleach? There are a lot of people (even here) that have had great success with SPS and LEDS.

The lighting is the only thing I can think of, when I move the coral around sometimes to the bottom of the tank it will come back, but most of the time it just bleaches or I move it to my 70

The max spect is programmable? So I can change the color spectrom?

You can change the intensity of daylight/actinic colors for your photoperiod. It will run through a cycle to "hit" those points at different times during the day, so you can simulate sunrise, sunset, etc.

What's the footprint of the tank?

Would t5s even fit?

You say that your corals bleach in your bigger tank, can you please explain your process from when you buy the piece of coral to when it is in the final place in the tank? Sounds like we could give you some pointers to get your corals living a bit longer.

They die when I put them under my led lighting in my15 gallon tall tank, I have a 70 gallon tank with t5ho and it keeps SPS, LPS just fine. But I think the LEDs are just too strong for the corals.
But I'm looking for a good nano tank lighting.

Should be able to get away with raising the light fixture that you have currently, if there is room.

I can't put holes in the roof of my apartment though. And it would look bad, it's like 15 gallon talks from Petco.
