melanarus wrasse wont come out

i just got a melanarus wrasse on wed and havnt seen him out and about just stays buried in sand most of the time. is this normal or is he just adjusting? i dont wana poke around the sand cause i know that will stress him more. any advice is greatful

My advice is to be patient. This is normal behavior.

Definitely normal behavior, it can take a couple weeks for all members to adjust to a new tank
