Cleaning tip: when servicing your SCA skimmer, remove the nozzle that attaches to the pump (and airline) and ensure there is no buildup in the airline at the base where it connects to the nozzle. If so, soak nozzle in vinegar solution, cut and straighten a clothes hanger and use it to free airline of debris. Blow out and rinse the debris from the airline.
I was having problems with this skimmer, it wasn't creating micro bubbles, thus no skimming. I cleaned it once (overlooked the airline blockage), it start bubbling, by the next day it has stopped again. I took a closer inspection and discovered the airline blockage. If the airline came free from the nozzle, it would be easier to clean, but alas it doesn't.
