red bugs-need bayer asap!

I just picked up two frags. 1 red planet and 1 purple hornet frag. I need a shot of bayer to kill the red bugs before I introduce them into my system. But, I also don't want them sitting in the bag till tomorrow afternoon when I can pick up some and treat! If anyone has a swig they can spare close to the medical area it would be much appretiated!

I appretiate it. I'm hoping someone close by has some I can bum....if I can't fi d some I might just have to try a hard dose of revice and hope fer the best. I only have two acros right now so if bugs spread they wont be too tough to eliminate.

are you saying the zoas have red bugs? the only attack and attach to certain families of sps. you could be seeing some pods. also if you do have them om the red planet one dip will not get rid of the eggs and if infested it prob has eggs also.

I know redbugs are sps only, but I was hoping someone had beyar close to me so I could dip both since they came from the same tank and were brought over in the samw bag.....just being cautious that's all. So basically ill have to keep up the dip regiment till I see no more redbugs.

Well thanks fer your advise Big_Pun but I didnt want my frags chillin in my sump overnight and all day. I did a concentrated Revive dip acording to an article written by Julien Sprung and I'm gonna watch it. Other than the red planet I got today i have a oregon tort that's susceptible to red bugs so ill just keep an eye on them and possibly redip the red planet in a few days.

If I remove my sps frags from my display, how long will redbugs survive without sps to feed on?

Quick update. Zero redbugs. I did a half a cap of Revive and 1 cup of tank water. The redplanet has great polyp extention and is coloring up nicely. I'm going to give it a few more days before I claim victory.

7 days and no signs of redbugs. There hasn't been second dip or anything else other than keeping an eye on it
