Id please.

Can yall tell me what this "string" is please? It looks like it has barbs on the strings and sometimes its hangin in the flow, sometimes retraced like it caught something. I have several through out my rock, and I doubt there bad, I just want to know what it is. Thanks!!

I have those worm come out of my live rock also my ocellated dragonet eats them :-) hasn't harmed anything in my tank and idk what they are called sorry

Looks somewhat akin to a vermetid snail.

Generally harmless unless its filament bothers nearby corals causing them to remain closed.

They have gotten into my tank too. They haven't harmed anything they even grow on some of my snails. Wish I knew what they actually were!

Prolly vermetid snails, just a filter feeder, should be ok

Thanks for the responses! Ben, they came with that rock out of your tank. That's the only thing that I cant id off of it. Now there popping up on the other rocks too. Interesting to watch. I will research vermetid snails.

Cool. I like vermetid snails as they pull free floating particulate out of the water column. Helps keep the house clean. Keep an eye to make sure they don't shack up too close to zoas due to the fact that they stay up late and have loud parties. There crummy neighbors. :)
