Dang, that's pretty sweet. Kinda makes the power pucks obsolete IMO. Although, I would be frustrated if I shelled out the upgrade kit for the vegas, or the vegas in general only to have these come out.

Because no one wants to pay another 50$ a puck to add something that should have been included out the box.

Thats debatable though..... Look at the ppl with success with the sols and some other units..... Uv nor violet is included with those.

gotta say when i put up the vertex i was ready to hate it as it is only haswhite and blue and royal blue, i was ready to sayhow my colors on sps sucked and had a write up ready in my head. Everything looks the same as it did with mh and t5 i even have growth tips shooting out some of my picky corals, but uv adds a lil pop but i think its more aestetic thing than needed for growth. im looking at adding the multicolor pucks or uv pucks for my fixture not sure yet

Biggest complaint I have on my Vega is the Overpowering white. I feel they put way too much on it. It does suck that I have to buy pucks, but at the same time I like it because I can customize to what I want. I feel the UV is a waste and violet will get me the same results.

Nice now I can send in my sol blues to make Vegas and then buy 2 of these later when I upgrade tanks and mix the 2 together. Only one prob I need money. Anyone wanna buy a house I can live under my reef tank lol.

It's always money man. Nice thing about a lot of these led fixtures is the upgrade capabilities. Yes, my Vegas were expensive and yes it hurt to pay that much and yes it will hurt to pay for each of the pucks. I get to customize everything the way I want though. That's why so many people like to DIY.
