Ok so I'm giving into my desires Lol I want to house a mantis shrimp. A peacock mantis to be exact. Anyone know where I could get one?? He will be in an acrylic tank by himself lol just fyi

I've been thinking about one as well. When I lived in Florida I ended up with a green mantis that was hiding in some of my live rock. Very cool but it had to go. I was at the Austin Aquadome a few months back and they had two.

Every time I've been the the dome, they always have a few, neat little buggers lol.

Darby's in New Braunfels, had one, and can also get in for you. Theirs was a ball to watch and dispatched clams in a hurry.

Sad to report aquadome had only one mantis shrimp and it was green :( the owner said he would keep and eye out for me. Darby's was closed today so I'm going to go tomorrow and see if they have any. Fingers crossed!!!
