I've always wanted to try b-ionic in my reef tanks and I remember in the past, the best my tank has ever done was when I was dosing a kent two part to it, however I ran out of that long ago and am looking for a new product. Is there anyone here that uses it locally? If so, do you like it?

We use it daily and I love it my growth was doing wonderful up until a few weeks ago then I realized hey I just bought a big load of coral and I am not seeing growth because I didn't up my dosing lol. So long story shot I uped the dose and now I'm seeing growth again after just a few days. I think it's a great product.

Did you have to check your magnesium, calcium, and Alk before dosing?

Cool. When your calibrating in your correct dosage, say you dose at a certain time, when do you actually test your water? I assume immediately would not be good, just curious for when I start.

I heard you suppose to dose one at night and the other during the day.

Well it says to wait at least 30 mins I believe but sometimes we are in a hurry leaving so we just wait for part 1 to clear up (the water in the overflow where we add ours turns an little white bit quickly clears up) than add part 2.

As for checking perimeters yes always test before your start dosing. Always start if slow like we have a 40 breeder with a lot of sps and lps but we started at 5 cc for about a week and tested then upped it 5cc each week after testing and seeing where we where.

After we got spot in we stopped testing so much and then added a lot of coral and realized something wasn't right so we tested and sure enough we had to up our dose and we just added 5cc each week till we got what we needed and started seeing growth.

So first test your water then start your dosing and gradually up it till your numbers are right.
