This thread is specifically for the following question:


Is there a difference between favites corals & favia corals?


Example: a traditional war coral (Favites Pentagona) has blood red or maroon flesh with green eyes & USED to go for $300/eye.

Example: favia seem to have bigger eyes and more bushy flesh around those eyes while favites do not.

Favites share coralite walls and favias don't, otherwise not much difference as they're in the same family
