Ok, I am tired of the wifey nagging that she wants this, she wants that, but I alwys end up having to tell her that she cant get that in this tank, either because A: its not a reef safe fish and will go after everything eating it all up, or B: because again its a reef tank and it is a different type of setup.
The three types she loves are Lion Fish, Jelly Fish, and Sea Horses. I wouldnt mind setting up a Nano Jelly fish tank or a Nano Sea Horse tank. But I need pointers on both. Type of tank, minimum size of tank, parameters, type of water movement, lighting, etc?
Thanks

Look up "jellyquarium" jelly fishes cannot be just put in a normal reef tank. Same with sea horses. Lionfish are "reef safe" but I heard they eat inverts/

ya I was going to get a Dwarf Lionfish, but I have inverts in there now, a couple of scarlet reef Hermits, plan to get a few shrimp, which is why I dont want a lionfish, even a dwarf lionfish.
What I know right now as far as jellyfish are they have to be in a tank with now hard edges and has to be cold water, just dont know how cold. And sea horses need something to cling on to and cant be in a tank with to much water movement.

If I remember correctly it was water of 50 something degrees? Most jelly fish tanks I've seen were circular ones with low flow and no decorations.

I'm in the same boat, my wife will sit out in the car because everything she wants I tell her won't work in current tank......Then I say "If I had a bigger tank"

lol, same here, but I dont dare tell her it is because I need a bigger tank, have to tell the kids I need a bigger tank for what they want. Especially my daughter since she wants a tank to represent "Finding Nemo", I always have to tell her I cant get a Blue Hippo Tang, or a yellow tang. I can get the clown fish, but I want to have it paired with an anemone, but I dont have the proper lighting just yet for it or for any coral at the moment.

O oh ok, thought it was a medium flow. I knew about the no decorations, mainly cause they will inadvertanly hurt themselves.

Well it's hard to guage how much the flow is, but in most I've seen the jelly's are only moving with their bodies, not from flow.
