These dogs are free. All I want for them is to know they are going to a loving home that will treat them well and of course take care of them properly with the time given to them that they will receive the attention and love that they deserve.

Unfortunately, I have to place my Bullmastiffs. They MUST go together and MUST be house dogs...INSIDE the house except for walks, rides, going potty, and the normal things a dog would be outside of the house for. I do not want them left outside during the day and brought in at night, or vice verse and having that be acceptable as a "house dog" because it is not. If this is unreasonable to you then you are not the right person for these wonderful dogs. I will not place these dogs with just anyone, I want to make sure they are loved and taken care of.

My son has extremely bad skin eczema that I will tell you guys a bit about.

The skin eczema, even with steroid creams, exfoliating soaps, and moisterizing lotions, breaks out enough that it become open cuts and sores that bleed sometimes (these are on the creases of the body such as the tops of the thumb, backside of knee where it bends, and backside crease in his ankle) and required another steroid to heal it. The eczema goes through stages where it looks to be under control but then breaks out again. The main problem areas are on his hands, elbows, back of knees, and feet. We have gone to countless Dr's trying to find something to control it. Anyone that has had a small rash that itched would kinda understand what he is going through, but picture it on your entire body itching. Even with keeping his fingernails short, he scratches his itching so much that it actually becomes scratches in the skin. My wife and I have tried everything we can do, was told to do, and can think of to help him as much as we can. Part of the problem we found out recently was the dogs. We have tried so many things and with the dogs tried to vacuum as much as possible and get them groomed all the time (which is bad for their skin) and it's just not working. Most of the problems with the dogs he has is when he plays with them, rolls around with them, or the carpet. We have tried our best to keep him off the carpet for example watching tv on the couch instead of the floor, but its just too hard, so we have come to this. Even though this will only help his skin problem some, anything we can do to make him feel even the slightest bit better we are going to do.

On to the dogs which many of you have seen when coming to my house for corals, fish, or what have you. They are older, my male just turned 6 in March and my female just turned 8 in March. They are both very healthy with a couple minor issues which I can discuss further later. We have had them since they were both puppies and have been a great addition to our family. They are excellent watch dogs, yet are a little timid in certain circumstances. Chloe takes a few minutes to warm up to people she first meets. Renegade will warm right up to anyone that he is introduced to. Bullmastiffs are very low maintenance dogs that require little grooming except occasional brushing and nail trimming. They do not require a lot of activity or exercise. Being a dog in the short nosed family, such as the Bulldog, it is best they do not go on long walks, especially in the heat. A quick walk around the block is fine and best for them. They are NOT barkers except when someone comes to the door or they see something threatening. They have NEVER bit anyone or ANYTHING (other animals). Renegade does not like meeting a new dog that is up in his face, he will growl and walk away. He has never bit or tried to bite another dog when it does this, he just does not like it.

Chloe, the female, was my wifes b-day present when we first got stationed here in Texas the first time back in 2005. She is WONDERFUL with kids, letting them lay on her or even stepping on her to get on a bed, etc. She is also WONDERFUL with other animals of any kind, other dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, etc. She loves to lay around and will follow me around the house no matter where I go. She absolutely LOVES to be loved on. She is house trained and leash trained. She loves to go on walks, play, and go for rides in the car. She is very easily trained with new things. We bought a new house and trained the dogs NOT to go upstairs so it would be dog hair free. We do not use a gate, they just don't go up there. If your door is open in the house they will not take off. They do not go onto the furniture unless invited. We do not allow them on the furniture but when my wife deployes with the military, I bring them in my bed occasionally. She is the sweetest dog I have ever had and just wants to be loved as much as possible. She loves whatever attention she can get. Renegade is the male version of her.

Renegade, my male is the same way as Chloe, with one exception. In the back yard he will fence fight. What is weird, is he will fence fight with a dog, but if you bring that same dog and put them together, he is fine lol. He is a big lap dog. When he was a puppy, I use to sit on the floor and pull him up in my lap. Well....100 lbs later, if you sit on the floor, he will still try and sit in your lap.

ok, sorry if this information is confusing. I know I jumped around a lot with details and information as I typed out what came to mind. The last few things I will say is that whoever takes these dogs will indeed be very lucky to have them in your life and family. I have books about Bullmastiffs, as well as many supplies for them such as leashes, choke chains, collars, nail trimmers, etc. They both eat Natural Choice dog food and I try to stay with natural type dog biscuits for treats. They also love carrots as a treat. Again, these are wonderful dogs and my eyes are swelling up as I type all this. These dogs are my family and treated as such, I just have to do what is best for my son and even if it helps him in the slightest way, its something. If anyone has any questions or what not, plz feel free to ask. I hope you can see how much I love these dogs not only in my words, but also in the time I took to type this post out. My wife and I are really hoping to find someone that will love them and cherish them as they deserve. It truly is hard for us to do this and I can only imagine trying to explain it to my son and daughter. This breaks our heart to do this but is best given the circumstances. I really hope and pray someone on here can take them so that I can stay in touch and see how they do.

Also, they are both registered AKC and I have the papers. They ARE fixed though and have never had puppies.

Thx for taking the time to read all of this.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear about your predicament. I'd die a little if I had to give up my dog. But I understand for helping your son. I hope you find a good home locally for them.

I work at Lackland in the 341 TRS which is the Military Working Dog (MWD) School. We train "green" dogs from the ground up and train students how to work MWD's. Let me ask around and see if there is anyone interested. I will let you know.

Good luck with finding a home. This is a tough situation but I'd do the same thing if it were my son. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

So sorry to hear what your son is going thru! As a parent, that cannot be easy to watch.

I actually have eczema on the tips of my fingers on my right hand. All fingers have it, unfortunately. And having your hands in saltwater doesn't really solve any problems, either. I, actually just this past Wednesday, went and got steroid shots in all of my fingers (REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hurt), but they seem to be (slowly) getting better.

Good luck with everything, and I hope to hear about progress soon!

Thanks for all the kind words. I am still looking for someone that would be able to take them.
