calcium level?

my calcium level is at 520 using an api test kit I haven't dosed the tank in over month because of the level water changes ever week could ths be a result of phospates making the calcium level high any advise on this

Mines at 480 and I don't dose anything just weekly water changes

Either your test kit is wrong, or your reef isn't using the available calcium.

I'd get a 2nd test kit opinion first.

I use kent, and it cranks up your calcium to 550-575 at 1.024-1.026.

If you don't have a calcium consumption within the tank your calcium would ride out at those levels. If you have sps, those calcium levels would drop... Depending on just how much of a calcium requiring livestock you've got in your tank.
