Finally up and kinda running..... Cloudy from new sand and I'm waiting for silicone beads to dry around new bulk heads, but by non tomorrow, I'll just fill it the rest of way and get it going! ThankS To Louis at ER for making it happen...:) Running three AI Vegas...

yes i finally its up! i thought i would have to buy this tank to see it wet!! glad your happy and got your tank running. out of curiosity why are you worrying about the silicone drying . what i do is snug them up run the tank and if they leak, tighten a lil more. just dont over tighten and make sure the gasket is inside on wet side. call me if you have any trouble, no matter how late.

you can clear it up quickly by putting a tupperware container full of filter floss on the intake of a powerhead. just cut a hole big enough for the intake tube to fit in the lid and poke a bunch of holes in the container. as the powerhead draws water thru the container, the fine sand particulate will get trapped in the floss. carefully change out the floss every couple of hours and the tank will be clear in no time.

Excellent idea!

So many possibilities! I am so jealous! That tank is going to be so sweet looking when it's filled out.
