He was posting and item for sale while still a web member. Even though he had intentions of chartering up. We had to uphold the standard. I'm sure if we left it up we would have heard more complaints about it then this. Sorry to see you go man. You seemed to have a lot of good DIY knowledge. Take care.

In my own, words and thoughts, to me maast is a community of sw fans. Share ideas and thoughts on sw tanks, provide education with coral, and share a common interest, and so much more. The board members are volunteers elected by charter members. I believe the dues are to help fund projects that are approved through the board majority.
To help promote the safe keeping of fish and coral and tank building in the sw hobby and also on a professional level. If I needed to donate $30 or whatever it is to promote maast I would gladly do it. MadReefer I have enjoyed you and your information you have shared and I look forward to you being a charter member. And You too can be a board member.

I believe that he had intended to charter, only he hadn't gotten around to it. In fact he stated that he planned on doing it face to face at a later date. At which point we would be more than happy to reinstate his for sale thread.

In a black and white environment his intent to charter didn't constitute an actual charter membership. What choice did the mod squad have but to align with the TOU?

It is unfortunate that he's unwilling to adhere to the rules of the forum to which he agreed when joining MAAST. it seemed to me that he has a great deal of information and experience in the hobby, however that alone isn't license to drift from the TOU.

Good job by the squad in remaining vigilant, and for taking on such a thankless job.

Sure we bicker every now and again but at the end of the day, I know I can count on these guys and gals to help out in any emergency situation or just to bounce ideas off the wall. I've never understood the point to these kind of goodbyes. As a dues paying charter member since I joined, and the fact that the membership at large voted to make selling a charter privilege, I don't feel too bad here.
