Don't mind the duck tape lol I couldn't find a suction cup to his the body on the tank so duck tape was second best lol. I was just bored and thought I would try to make one for my 10 gallon. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/04/17/9ema6eqe.jpg

can make one out of just about anything sw safe really. good start =) pvc works, so does the clear culligan style drinking water containers, or hdpe water tank... or the big culligan soft water tanks. i have one in my profile pic i just finished up not too long ago. i'm just very surprised mine hasnt leaked yet. lots of plumbing for me = good chance of water spillage lol. there's a guy i got the ideas off of when i googled diy skimmer. i just made it .. bigger lol.

Yeah I did that and the green is because I had an out break if hair algae cause I neglected the tank while focusing on other things going on in my life.

It will work, no doubt, but the efficiency may not be able to keep up with the tank/feeding/bioload.
