Would like some input and thoughts on these fixtures for use on a 40g breeder system with SPS and other high light corals.
1) Reef Breeders LEDs
32" 200 watt Controllable Fixture (one of these)

OR..
2) TaoTronics
Dimmable 120w (2 of these)

I have not used either of those.
You can also look into http://www.buildmyled.com/ or if you are not scared of a little DIY you can look into the Aquastyle kits to save some coin. All my LEDs are pieced together from Aquastyle, minus the drivers, I built those.

Not much differance in price if you geet 2 of the 120w. The 32" 200 watt looks nice and is the right length if your going to stay with a 36" tank, like the color spectrum too. If you ever go to a 48" tank the 2 120w would cover it while the 32" fixture wouldn't.

I have ecorays 60Ds over my 65 gallon I haven't tested the PAR yet, but I know my SPS are happy and colorful. They also make a dimmable version 72DX that has a bigger spread that you might be able to get away with just the single fixture. I don't know if these will be mounted in a canopy, but if a canopy is being used they might be too much light. They're a little more than the Taos and a little less than the reefbreeders. I've been very happy with mine.

Thx for the info man.
Madfragger...no canopy. Thx for the lead on those as well.
Appreciate all the info everyone. I just barely got into LED...kind of debating taking my 150w MH off my biocube in place of the slimline s-12 fixture I have. I'm almost at the MH bulb replacement time...and not wanting to drop $80 for the xm bulbs I like. Not a fan of the cheapo $15 ones...even though I used them for about 4 years.

I have the aquastyle kit and I LOVE it. Great customer service and relatively fast shipping from across the world.

ever looked into the AI NANO? its a tiny light that packs a punch and comes with a little mounting arm.
you can build something similar but it wont come out as clean.... and now is wireless with the adapter.

Love my AI nano, it's the bee's knees.
I will say this, after DIYing and then buying a pre-made fixture, I do like the ability to control every aspect of the build itself, but man, the AI nano is AMAZING in features and the SOL and VEGA are just amazing.. I love my sun-rise sunset, but my chick's tank's sunrise/ sunset is so realistic looking that I actually wake up early just to watch it, the thunderstorms are also really neat.

I want to see someone tie the storms to a sound byte. Something like the thunder they play at the grocery department when they are fixing to spray the greens with mist.

I do have. Question about the Tao if we were to get a reef controller can we hook our LEDS to make the lightning storms or no?

I did, thanks man. He's going to ship me one out in the next week and set me up with a wholesale account as well. That light isn't much without that dimmer. I had black electric tape on some of the whites at the frag swap since I couldn't control it and didn't want to blast the LPS.

My vote would be for the AI nano as well Rob. Also, I've been curious to talk with AI about the vega pucks being able to be used in the AI nano. From the outside they appear to be identical. I plan on ordering some picks for my Vegas one of these days and I could either use the old pucks or customize new ones for the nano.
The great thing about LED now a days is all the options out there. It's like overload.
My new build design is waffling between Orphek, AI, and some others.
