Someone recently told me they spray their displays with something. I want to say bleach, but that would oxidize and not be a real issue.

HEB on 281 just north of 1604. That was over the weekend though. Sometimes they have the octo all spritzed up and looking pretty. Not sure if they have any today.
Even bleach could be rinsed, right? I always rinse before freezing and chopping it.

Which one? HEB Plus or the intersection 1604/281. That particular octo is previously frozen as well as most squids. but we could order fresh ones for you. Haven't seen any fresh octopus for a while.

I freeze mine after I get it.
Where can you order fresh from?

Hmm. We bought 8lbs of shrimp from the Polly Anna yesterday, and got a squid in it!

Yeah, bleach doesn't scare me. I thought they said it was something else though, like a pesticide. No clue if that's true or not so I'm not saying they do, just heard they might.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did. Seems like they put chemicals on everything.
