I lost my large Diamond Goby this week and of course started going through the Why Syndrome? I bought it from Gabe’s when Gabe was on 410; it was fairly large when purchased. I am guessing it has been 3+ years, my smaller one that was his mate I got from Ed when he owned Phenomenal Aquatics. I found a website today that listed fish’s life expectance and for Diamond Gobies they had 3-5 years. I was wondering if you have one how long have you had it.
The same site stated 4+ years for Copper bands and mine is 8+. We always think our fish will live forever. Maybe everyone can post the age of their oldest fish?

One of my two clowns (bought as a pair - lost 1, replaced) from Louis back when he was near the airport. That was before I joined MAAST. So, that's over 8 years. They still regularly spawn.

My male Ocellaris Clownfish is 5+ years. He was the first fish that I bought when I first started in this hobby. Back when I had my 29 gallon biocube. Him and his mate are still producing eggs.

Andresm, the tomato clown I gave you was in my family for about 13 years. We were told it was about 6 years old when we got it.

I still have an ocellaris clownfish (turned female soon after I bought her a mate that year. Still have both) and a green brittle star that I bought with a running system in May 2003. And in August that year I bought a yellow tang that I still have.
